My Proposal

Hey sweetheart! I've something to tell you..

When I look at you, I see the future. I see minivans, I see kids, I see us cooking dishes together and you must be thinking ,"he's quoting the line from Scrubs". Well maybe I am, but the part where I see the future is what I truly feel. At the end of the day, you are the only one I want to go back home to.

Throughout the few years we've been together, you really have been the safest place for me to hide from all the weariness of the world. In that period of time, I see that you have accepted me for who I am, and I thank you for that. You are someone I truly look up to, and you've taught me to be a better man, a better son, a better professional, a better student and a better human being.

I dare not promise you that our lives will be forever filled with joy and happiness, for you and I both know that I am not the kind of person to make promises that I can't keep.

But I shall promise you this.

I promise you a lifetime of companionship and togetherness, and that I will be exclusively yours.

I may not be able to tell you how much you mean to me, but I promise I will try to show you, for the rest of my life. I love you.

And with that, will I have the honour to be your husband?
